OTHER FUN NEW HAMPSHIRE ACTIVITIES!!

Snowboarding If you like snowboarding, we have snow and hills here. We also have ski areas. We have ski shops where you can rent snowboards. You need goggles, a hat, a helmet, mittens, snowpants, a jacket, special boots, and most importantly, a snowboard. If you aren't a good snowboarder, you should start near the bottom of a hill and, as you get better, go up the hill higher to start snowboarding.
Snowmobiling Snowmobiling is fun. Before you start, you need a snowmobile. You need a hat, snowpants, jacket, boots, and a helmet. You need gloves and an extra pair in case they get wet or lost. You don't need a license. You have to try hard to stay on the trails. Try not to run into other snowmobiles. Bring a tank of gas just in case. Bring a flare gun so people can find you if you get lost. Have a safe ride.
Ice Fishing When you go ice fishing you have to watch for thin ice because thin ice is dangerous. You could fall in. You need special tools, like an ice auger to drill the ice and a wooden tip-up to let you know you have a bite. You don't need a bob-house to go in, but you might want one to keep warm. You should have snow pants, snow boots, and a jacket. Kids don't need ice fishing licenses, but grown-ups should check to see if they need licenses. Enjoy ice fishing!
Snowshoeing When you snowshoe, you need to wear a hat, a sweatshirt, a warm coat, and snowpants. You don't need a special pair of boots. Some snowshoes have a floppy heel. When you buy snowshoes, you should get the new snowshoes, poles, and goggles. You should always snowshoe in safe woods and woods that you are allowed to go in. You should be very careful of branches. You should snowshoe on soft snow. You should always follow your parents. Do not go alone. Follow your tracks back if you get lost.
Ice Skating Come to New Hampshire! I'm going to tell you about ice skating. You can only ice skate in winter because you need a frozen lake, pond, or a river to skate on. You need special clothing like a hat, gloves, coat, snowpants, boots, and skates. You need a grown-up with you to check the thickness of the ice so you don't fall in and get absolutely frozen. It takes a few tries to get the hang of skating and to get good balance. If you do good as a kid, maybe you could skate in a race as a grown-up. Have a nice time skating and don't fall down!
Playing In Snow When you play in the snow, you wear a hat, mittens, a coat, boots, and snowpants. When you don't have a yard, you can go to the big hill at Kelly Park near downtown Bristol and play in the snow. You could put icicles on a snowfort, you could build a snowman, or you could make angels in the snow. You can make snow sculptures but don't eat the snow and don't lick the icicles.
